The Rodney Ems Memorial Golf Scholarship committee is honored to announce the 2024 recipients of the Rodney Ems Memorial Golf Scholarship. We are proud to award each of these amazing students a $2,000 scholarship to help them continue their education. Rodney Ems believed in the power of education and the values that golf instills. We believe that each of these candidates embodies these values, showing dedication to academic success, leadership, and service.

2023 Recipients

Nicholas Best
Nicholas Best is a soon-to-be graduate of Durango High School. He is excited to continue his academic journey at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he plans to pursue his passion for architecture. Nicholas plans to play club golf and keep improving his game. He is looking forward to keeping a strong work ethic and a drive for success while he starts this exciting new chapter of his life.
Zayda Mestas
Zayda Mestas is a 2023 graduate of Durango High School. She is a proud member of the girls' varsity golf team since her Freshman year. Next year Zayda is going to the Oregon Institute of Technology to major in biochemistry and minor in psychology. She is excited to continue her collegiate golf career at the next level. Go Owls!
Eliza Bosmans
Eliza Bosmans will continue her academic journey at Georgia Tech where she will be pursuing a degree in computer engineering. She will continue improving her golf game and martial arts skills as well as exploring the many opportunities Atlanta has to offer. Most of all, she is looking forward to meeting new like-minded students and staying focused on achieving her academic goals.
Natasha Walcott
In the Fall of 2023, Natasha will be attending the Metropolitan State University of Denver with plans to
major in Accounting and become a Certified Public Accountant. In playing golf and being a student, she has learned perseverance is the foundation of success. She looks forward to continuing her
education and her lifelong venture in golf.
